1.1 Admission to the B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. programmes shall ordinarily be made on the basis of merit in the Sandip University Joint Entrance Examination (SUJEE) conducted by the University.
1.2 The University shall conduct the entrance examination in such mode, at such centre(s), and according to such examination procedure as may be notified by the competent authority.
1.3 The admission process shall consist of:
1.3.1 Online registration and submission of application form;
1.3.2 Scrutiny of applications and determination of eligibility;
1.3.3 Issuance of Admit Card;
1.3.4 Conduct of SUJEE;
1.3.5 Preparation and publication of merit list/result;
2.1 Candidates seeking admission through SUJEE shall submit the application form through the official website of Sandip University.
2.2 The University shall provide a dedicated online link created for SUJEE through which candidates shall register and submit their applications.
2.3 The candidate shall be responsible for providing correct and complete information in the online application form.
2.4 The candidate shall upload the required documents, photograph and other information in the manner prescribed by the University.
2.5 The prescribed application/registration fee shall be paid through the online payment facility provided by the University.
2.6 After successful submission, the candidate shall retain a copy of the completed application form, payment receipt and other relevant records for future reference.
2.7 Submission of an application form shall not, by itself, confer any right of admission upon the candidate.
3. ELIGIBILITY
3.1 A candidate seeking admission to B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. shall fulfill the minimum educational and other eligibility requirements prescribed by the University and the concerned statutory/regulatory authority.
3.2 For the B.Ed. programme, Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3) and/or Master’s Degree in Science/Social Science/Humanity/Commerce or Bachelors in Engineering/Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission test to the B.Ed. programme.
3.3 For the D.El.Ed. programme, Candidates must have passed Intermediate/Class 12th from the Bihar Board or any other recognized Boards/Universities.
3.4 The Applicants must have scored at least 50% Marks in Intermediate/Class 12th (For General Candidates).
3.5 The aspirants should have scored at least 45% Marks in Intermediate/Class 12th (For Reserved Category Candidates).
3.6 Age:
3.6.1 Candidate must be at least 17 Years on 01 January 2026.
3.6.2 There is no provision of any maximum age limit criteria for appearing in the exam.
3.7 Candidates claiming relaxation in eligibility criteria on the basis of reserved category shall produce valid supporting documents issued by the competent authority.
3.8 Mere appearance in SUJEE shall not make a candidate eligible for admission unless the candidate fulfils all prescribed eligibility requirements.
4. ENTRANCE EXAMINATION
4.1 SUJEE shall be conducted by Sandip University for determining merit for admission to the B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. programmes.
4.2 The examination shall ordinarily consist of objective-type/multiple-choice questions as prescribed by the University.
4.3 The examination pattern, syllabus, number of questions, duration, marking scheme and other examination instructions shall be notified by the University from time to time.
4.4 Separate question papers may be prescribed for B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. according to the academic level and requirements of the respective programme.
4.5 The candidate shall be required to comply with all instructions issued by the University relating to the conduct of SUJEE.
5. ADMIT CARD
5.1 Eligible candidates shall be issued an Admit Card through the procedure prescribed by the University.
5.2 The Admit Card shall contain such information as may be required for appearing in the entrance examination.
5.3 No candidate shall ordinarily be permitted to appear in the examination without a valid Admit Card and prescribed identity proof.
5.4 Any discrepancy in the Admit Card shall be brought to the notice of the University within the period prescribed by the competent authority.
6. MERIT LIST
6.1 The University shall prepare the merit list on the basis of marks obtained by eligible candidates in SUJEE, subject to the applicable admission rules.
6.2 In case of a tie in merit, the tie-breaking criteria prescribed by the University shall be applied.
6.3 The merit list published by the University shall be subject to verification of eligibility and original documents.
6.4 Inclusion of a candidate's name in the merit list shall not be treated as confirmation of admission.
7. COUNSELLING AND SEAT ALLOTMENT
7.1 Candidates included in the merit list shall participate in the Counselling-cum-Personal Interview process, wherever prescribed by the University.
7.2 Candidates shall be required to appear personally or through such mode as may be permitted by the University and produce the required original documents.
7.3 Seat allotment shall be made on the basis of:
7.3.1 Merit obtained in SUJEE;
7.3.2 Eligibility for the concerned programme;
7.3.3 Availability of seats;
7.3.4 Reservation policy applicable to the programme; and
7.3.5 Verification of required documents.
7.4 A candidate shall be considered for admission only against an available seat for which the candidate fulfils all prescribed conditions.
8. RESERVATION
8.1 Reservation of seats for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Classes, Economically Weaker Sections, Persons with Disabilities and other categories, wherever applicable, shall be governed by the prevailing rules of the Government of Bihar and applicable University regulations.
8.2 Candidates seeking admission under a reserved category shall produce a valid certificate issued by the competent authority.
8.3 Reservation shall be available only to candidates who fulfill the minimum eligibility requirements prescribed for the programme.
8.4 The University shall implement reservation within the approved intake and in accordance with applicable statutory provisions.
9. PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES
9.1 Reservation for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), wherever applicable, shall be provided in accordance with the applicable Government rules and regulatory provisions.
9.2 Candidates claiming such reservation shall submit a valid disability certificate issued by the competent authority.
9.3 The University shall verify the validity and applicability of the certificate before granting the benefit of reservation.
10. DOCUMENT VERIFICATION
10.1 Admission shall be provisional until verification of the candidate's eligibility and original documents.
10.2 Candidates shall produce original documents and the required copies at the time of counselling/admission.
10.3 Documents ordinarily required may include:
10.3.1 SUJEE Admit Card;
10.3.2 Matriculation/10th Mark Sheet and Certificate;
10.3.3 Intermediate/12th Mark Sheet and Certificate;
10.3.4 Graduation Mark Sheets and Certificate, wherever applicable;
10.3.5 Transfer Certificate/College Leaving Certificate;
10.3.11 Any other document prescribed by the University or concerned regulatory authority.
10.4 The University may require additional documents for verification of eligibility.
11. PROVISIONAL ADMISSION
11.1 Admission granted to a candidate shall initially be treated as provisional until completion of document verification and confirmation by the competent authority.
11.2 Where the result of a qualifying examination is awaited, provisional admission may be permitted subject to the rules of the University and the concerned regulatory authority.
11.3 The candidate shall be required to submit the final qualifying examination result and other required documents within the period prescribed by the University.
11.4 If a candidate fails to fulfill the eligibility requirements, the provisional admission may be cancelled.
12. PAYMENT OF FEES
12.1 A candidate selected for admission shall complete the prescribed admission and fee formalities within the period allowed by the University.
12.2 A seat shall be treated as confirmed only after completion of the prescribed admission formalities and payment of the applicable fees.
12.3 Fees shall be paid through the modes authorized by the University.
12.4 Refund, cancellation and withdrawal of admission shall be governed by the applicable University rules and regulatory provisions.
13. WITHDRAWAL OR CANCELLATION OF ADMISSION
13.1 A candidate may request withdrawal of admission in accordance with the University rules.
13.2 Cancellation and refund of fees shall be governed by the applicable University policy and statutory/regulatory provisions.
13.3 The University reserves the right to cancel admission where the candidate is subsequently found ineligible or where the admission was obtained by misrepresentation, suppression of facts or submission of invalid documents.
14. RESULT AND FINAL SELECTION
14.1 The University shall publish the SUJEE result/merit list through the prescribed official medium.
